A studio built around the sale
Named for the Greek oíkos — house. We work on the part of a home that people feel before they can explain it.
Studio Ikos works in three directions from a single instinct. We stage homes for the agents selling them, furnish rooms for the people staying in them, and bring order to the spaces beneath both — which is, more often than not, where the trouble began.
We keep our own inventory and run our own installs, which is what lets us move quickly. Most delays in staging are really delays in coordination — a rental company’s calendar, a delivery window that will not meet the photographer. Owning the pieces removes nearly all of it.
We work across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, from the North Shore through DuPage County, and we are glad to travel for a house worth traveling for.
Where we stand
Based in Chicago since 2023, working anywhere within roughly 100 miles of the city. The furniture is ours rather than rented, which is the single decision that shapes most of how we work.
How a home comes together
Walkthrough
We walk the property, measure the rooms that matter, and agree on which spaces to bring to life. Photographs and a floor plan will do if the house is farther out.
Written quote
The rooms, the term, and the total, in writing and usually the same day. Nothing is scheduled until you say so.
Install
Delivery, placement, and styling in a single day, always ahead of your photography date.
Removal
When the listing closes or the term ends, everything comes out and the house is left exactly as we found it.
